Great opportunity for an experienced Crusher or Wash Plant Operator to work at our Higley Aggregates Plant in Mesa. The successful candidate will be assigned to our first shift. Ability to work a flexible schedule with some Saturdays is required.


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS


  • H.S. Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Three years’ of experience preferred in Wash Plant and/or Quarry.
  • Proficient in welding and use of a cutting torch.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience with maintaining and repairing industrial equipment a plus.
  • MSHA site experience a plus.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of the aggregate wash plant for sand and rock.
  • Complete grease/oil lubrication as instructed on manual and automatic dispensing equipment.
  • Change filters and screens.
  • Maintain crusher using cutting torch and welding skills.
  • Drain/clean reservoirs and gearboxes.
  • Operate filtration equipment.
  • Perform inspection of levels of reservoirs and collection of oil samples.
  • Troubleshoot common lubrication-related procedural and equipment problems.
  • Ensure that the wash plant and related equipment is operating properly at all times while maintaining safe and cost efficient operations.
  • Meet or exceed daily/weekly production tons per goals set by Site Manager.
  • Inspect and ensure plant is operating cleanly, environmentally friendly and safely at all times.
  • Keep equipment and plant site neat and clean including picking up trash and ensuring everything is put in its proper place at all times.
  • Complete all required plant production reports accurately and timely.
  • Perform any other miscellaneous duties requested by the Site Manager which may include shoveling, cleaning up around plant, picking up trash, operating a piece of equipment or filling in for an absent employee.
  • Comply with all safety rules and regulations.

Great opportunity for an experienced Aggregates professional to join our team in Queen Creek!

The Dispatch Supervisor oversees the dispatch/weighmaster activities of four aggregates plants and supervises the personnel responsible for these activities. This position requires an experienced professional with the ability to design, implement and enforce policies and procedures for personnel working in other locations. The Dispatch Supervisor will function as the Deputy Weighmaster for the Drake Aggregates plants. The individual will have daily responsibility for dispatch duties at our Queen Creek plant, providing timely and accurate tickets to customers to ensure the smooth flow of traffic across the scale.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain the safety of yourself, your co-workers and customers per the Drake policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with scale operators, oversee their training, provide regular coaching, evaluations and performance feedback.
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance measures for processes.
  • Address complaints and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Assist in product sales, customer relations and billing for internal and external customers.
  • Maintain aggregates materials product knowledge necessary to answer customer questions.
  • Weigh and ticket trucks, ensuring tickets are verified for accuracy.
  • Provide excellent customer service, process payments and monitor loads of material coming in and out of the plant.
  • Prepare daily shipping summaries and submit tickets for processing in a timely manner.
  • Properly document and provide the MSHA site specific literature to be signed as it pertains to Drake policies.
  • Coordinate with customers and pit operators to facilitate and expedite loading of material into trucks.
  • Track levels of product to ensure sufficient materials are in stock to fill orders.
  • Any and all other duties required by supervisor or management.


Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Two or more years of dispatch/weigh master experience
  • Experience at an Aggregates operation preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Ability to keep time and material records.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to understand aggregate materials classifications and sizes as well as weight requirements of trucks leaving the pit.
  • Excellent customer relations skills.
  • Organized, strong attention to detail, excellent record-keeping skills, customer-focused and safety conscious.
  • Absolute integrity and strict adherence to company policy regarding inventory and payment collections.
  • Position requires acceptable completion of pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check.

· The successful candidate will supervise two scale operators and the dispatch activities at four plants. Schedule is Monday-Friday between 5:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.; some Saturdays required. Reports to the COO.
